The Westwood Police Deparrment is a progressive, service-oriented agency consisting of over (50) public safety professionals tasked with the safety, security and consolidated public safety communications of a rapidly growing community. The Town of Westwood is separated from Boston by just one community in the metropolitan area and is accessed by one of the busiest road and railway systems in New England.
The Westwood Police Department is a member agency of the Norfolk County Police Anti Crime Task Force (NORPAC) and the Metropolitan Boston Law Enforcement Council (METROLEC). METROLEC officers assist in protecting an aggregate population of over 700,000 in the Metropolitan Boston area as well as the surrounding communities and consists of various tactical and operational divisions.
