The Port of Everett was created in 1918. It is situated on Port Gardner Bay at the mouth of the Snohomish River. The Port District encompasses a portion of western Snohomish County, including the City of Everett and half of the City of Mukilteo, as well as unincorporated areas of the County. The Port is governed by a three-member board of commissioners. The commissioners are elected by the voters of the Port District for six year terms.
