Walsworth Publishing Company is headquartered in Marceline, located in north central Missouri. In 1937, three brothers, Don, Ed and Bill Walsworth settled in Marceline to print playbills. After expanding the product line several times, the decision was made in 1947 to produce yearbooks. In 1970, the Commercial Printing Division was established to balance the cyclical yearbook production schedule, adding text books, and other specialty publications to the Walsworth line. Today, Walsworth is still a family-owned commercial printing company. More than 200 employees have 20 or more years of service to the company, & Walsworth boasts more than 650 employees who have attained the status Master Printer of America. As might be expected of a small town company, it is not unusual to find several members of a family working for the company, including some families with 3 generations of employees.
