In the summer of 2017, Morgan pushed Greg to do the unthinkable: tackle a 4,002 page onsite project for Groupon. Executed precisely on-time (despite several hiccups), this first project encouraged us to launch Jolly Content, dreaming of the agency owner "lifestyle business". From 2017-2019, our team produced 30+ onsite and offsite content campaigns, including 1,000+ "SEO-informed" articles, 7,500+ description pages, and 150+ service pages.
Outwardly, the company was a success --- yet, everyone was getting paid except the owners. It was trial by fire, and the first years of business burned us hard.
In Q2 2019, we launched a new Jolly service combining ghostwriting and outreach ('GO'). With better lead gen & sales conversions, and 200% higher operating margins, GO officially took over as Jolly's sole service in late 2019.
