Grace Cathedral is an Episcopal church in the heart of San Francisco that is reimagining church with courage, joy and wonder. Grace is both a warm congregation and a house of prayer for all people, welcoming visitors from all over the world. As the world returns to health we invite you to join us online and on social media. Grace Cathedral is a place of inclusive community, spiritual practice, social justice, music, and the arts. The suffragist, anti-war activist, feminist and preacher Maude Royden was welcomed at Grace in the 1920s, and Dr. Martin Luther King shared his call to service and justice in a powerful sermon here in 1965. Grace supports people experiencing homelessness, and the art of Keith Haring is an anchor of our AIDS Chapel. We host The Forum lecture series, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet performed at the cathedral as our most recent artist-in-residence. In light of the shelter-in-place recommendations extended through the end of May, Grace Cathedral will remain closed until further notice. During this unprecedented moment we see a unique opportunity to experience community, faith and one another in new ways.
