About
The International School of Denver (ISDenver) is a multicultural, multilingual international school, welcoming students as young as 3 and continuing through eighth grade. Our inclusive, globally minded community develops highly motivated, academically successful and interculturally adept bilingual learners. ISD students engage purposefully and make positive contributions in a complex world. At ISDenver, we implement a broad, balanced curriculum in all subject areas through two languages. ISDenver focuses on the benefits of the bilingual brain, taking advantage of the narrow window in which children are best able to learn a second language. Our pre-K fifth grade students learn both in and through French, Spanish, or Mandarin, in programs taught by native speakers that are accredited by ministries of education in France and Spain, and by the Hanban in China. Our sixth through eighth grade middle school is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School implementing the Middle Years Programme (MYP), an interdisciplinary, project-based learning program with a focus on global context and impact. All curricula meet the Colorado State Standards, and are enhanced by both local and international travel opportunities.
