Carver Machine Works, Inc. is an employee owned subchapter S corporation founded in 1976 by Leroy and David Carver. The Company began operations as a family owned and operated general machine shop. It grew to include several employees, primarily operating as a rebuild facility for one major local customer in the mining and chemical processing industry. The Company has since grown to more than 65 employees and continues to service that original large customer, as well as customers in the pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, chemical and tobacco industries. The company became 75% employee owned in 1996 through an ESOP plan. The remaining 25% of stocks were purchased in 1998 and the company elected to operate as an S corporation.
