Son Tom Garrison was president and CEO of FedEx Freight East, responsible for running one of the largest regional freight carriers in America, until his retirement in 2002.\r\n\r\nIn 2005, Garrison Financial Corporation acquired Garner Asset Management, a well-respected Northwest Arkansas investment management firm serving large institutions and wealthy families, and renamed it Garrison Asset Management.
