Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School, a public two-year institution, seeks to meet the diverse educational needs and interests of the citizens of Reno, Harvey, McPherson, and Rice counties and adjacent areas, as well as residents from other localities who choose to enroll in HCC courses. The college is dedicated to pursuing excellence in learning, programs, and services. The mission of Hutchinson Community College is to support quality, accessible education by providing faculty, staff and students at all Hutchinson Community College locations with the basic tools of instruction, to develop and produce learning materials, to assist faculty in the development of learning materials and to provide informed consultation on using technology effectively. The John F. Kennedy library holds more than 44,000 volumes, nearly 40,000 titles, circulates more than 5,550 items annually, and serves more then 5,000 users.
