The Escambia County School District is implementing a comprehensive behavior-based energy conservation program in cooperation with Energy Education Inc. (EEI). Customized energy conservation programs enable public school districts to redirect dollars to educational opportunities and resources. Working with EEI, the District Energy Managers Cheryl Meyers and Jacquelyn Smith are designing an energy savings program for Escambia County School District. The Energy Managers receive ongoing training. They will provide continuous energy conservation guidance and assistance to all District staff. On-call training and support is also available through the Energy Management Office. The goal of the program is to reduce energy consumption thereby saving the District money.
