ARDA Power is working to change forever the way the world implements microgrid systems for non-residential buildings. For the first time ever you can simply and quickly configure a system using common controls and standard components. A battery-centric, DC-connected platform conceived by ARDA engineers with technology originally developed at the University of Toronto makes possible microgrids that are simple, low cost, resilient and versatile. ARDA is near completion of a first-of-its-kind DC-connected microgrid at a commercial/industrial building in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. The system will be fully integrated into the building electrical infrastructure; will include a PV plant, gas generator, multi-hour flow battery, LED lights and coolings fans; and will be capable of operating on or off grid, and of providing ancillary services. The design is based on the ARDA Microgrid Solution and is built using ARDA modular components. ARDA Power is now selling the hardware core of its platform - the ARDA Battery DC-DC Converter - to storage companies, and will begin selling the complete ARDA Microgrid Solution to customers and partners in early 2017. Welcome to the age of the plug-and-play Microgrid!
