About
The Student International Business Council seeks to fulfill its vision of ?Peace Through Commerce?? by interacting with internationally recognized firms and organizations. This is accomplished by educating its members on the different aspects of international business through projects, case competitions and international internships. Beginning as a global forum within the business college in 1989, the SIBC has become the largest student-run organization on campus, with nearly 500 members from the University of Notre Dame, Holy Cross College and St. Mary?s College. The Council offers its members a variety of opportunities based on their interests, including over 30 academic projects each semester across the Council's five functional divisions: Accounting, Consulting, Finance, Marketing and Social Entrepreneurship. SIBC has also partnered with international universities including China's Peking University, Brazil's Unicamp and England's Oxford university to provide valuable international opportunities for members. SIBC also sponsors over 20 members each summer to participate in internships around the globe.
