About
If you are a hit with a crisis and need counseling, help paying your bills, or assistance caring for mom and dad, our dedicated staff is ready to partner with you and your loved ones to put the right support in place. Finding the right social services agency to work with, or just even reach out to, can be a complicated process. Our staff partners across our departments and with outside agencies and other professionals to provide you with the support you and your family need. While JFCS was built on Jewish values, we welcome and serve individuals on all faiths, backgrounds, and ages. Counseling Life may seem out of control, sad, not meeting your expectations, or riddled with worry. No matter what you are experiencing, we can help. Our compassionate therapy team works closely with you and your insurance company so you obtain the help you need. Food Pantry Our food pantry is here to be a friend in need when times get rough. Our focus is on the nutrition of your family and ensuring you have the food to make well-balanced, healthy meals. Visits are made by appointment where we get to know you and the needs of your family. We then work hard to help you make ends meet in a very safe environment. When you find yourself in a difficult financial situation and are searching for resources, you may be more familiar with the term food bank. In contrast to a food bank, we offer a “choice-pantry” where you are invited to make grocery selections based on your preferences and dietary needs. Senior Services So many seniors, and their loved ones, are caught in a confusing web of services when help is needed. You may be here looking for yourself, your mother or father, or an aging loved one. Our goal is to sort through the stress and confusion and help you to build a very happy and productive life. Through our Geriatric Assessment process we take great care at each step listening to the particular concerns of the older adult and their family members. What is a good next step? Call JFCS.
