About
Pro Bono Network (PBN) connects volunteer attorneys with opportunities to realize their own do-gooder potential. How? Since 2011, we’ve recruited new parents and caregivers, solo practitioners, retirees, and full-time attorneys who appreciate the opportunities and the way we operate to further our mission of transforming lives by transforming access to legal representation. - PBN partners with legal aid agencies to provide training on pro bono projects - PBN does not require a long-term commitment from volunteers; work on a single short-term project for a few hours or longer-term projects as your availability allows - PBN pairs you with other attorneys on projects to ensure backup, should you be unavailable due to family or other emergencies - PBN works with agencies that provide malpractice coverage for you while involved with our projects Our volunteer attorneys make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients, including: - Victimized, undocumented persons applying for legal residency - Seniors executing powers of attorney for health care and property - Domestic violence victims obtaining orders of protection - Tenants resolving disputes with landlords - Individuals appealing the denial of Social Security benefits - Individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic If you’d like to become the do-gooder you were meant to be, visit http://www.pro-bono-network.org to volunteer or donate.
