About
1970 - 1985: While Larry Senn was a pioneer in organizational culture studies (his thesis, Organizational Character, was published in 1970, years before "corporate culture" became a watchword), Senn-Delaney Leadership began as a process improvement company in 1978. Over and over again, we saw organizational change efforts stopped dead in their tracks by the collective habits and behaviors of the people within the organization. We quickly learned there was more to process improvement than improving processes, and began to focus on behavioral change as well as process change. 1985 - 2003: In spite of our great success with our behavioral change efforts, we continued to develop newer, better ways to create sustainable organizational cultural transformation. Research and experience showed us that experiential, insight-based learning created a much more sustainable improvement. People are thinking individuals; real change needs to take place below the behavioral level, it must occur at the "gut" level. This unique "inside-out" learning process became what set us apart from every other consulting firm. 2003 - present: We continue to learn and grow in our approach to organization-wide cultural transformation. We continue to hone and improve our unique insight-based processes; in addition, we have learned that insight alone, while powerful, can be made even more effective when incorporated with a comprehensive, multi-level system for change. Today, we use a total culture-change process that is unparalleled in the consulting industry. We call our 5-step process DURAM.
