Ellis & Winters LLP was formed in 2000 as a new kind of North Carolina law firm: A select cadre of lawyers providing sophisticated legal services to blue-chip clients. With a strong emphasis on client service, the ten founding lawyers set out to offer premier legal services efficiently, but with the intense involvement of the firm's most senior partners. Concentrating in complex litigation and commercial real estate, the firm's lawyers have been called upon in some of the state's most important disputes and transactions, including a $424 million North Carolina Supreme Court victory and a $100 million corporate acquisition. Nowhere has the recognition been as overwhelming as in the North Carolina Super Lawyers, which has recognized nine of the firm's 13 partners. With offices in Raleigh and Greensboro, the firm continues to attract the finest attorneys with significant trial, appellate, and transactional experience.
