About
H.L. Bushman began Bushman Equipment in 1950, in a small shop in the Chicago area. The founder named the company after himself and adopted as its logo a gorilla named Bushman, who was then popular with the crowds at the Lincoln Park Zoo. In 1963, Bushman was purchased by Milwaukee Crane and moved to Cudahy, WI. Just one year later, Badger State Gear bought the firm and moved it to Milwaukee. Bushman was located on Douglas Avenue from 1974 until the move to Menomonee Falls in 1996. Ralph C. Deger has been the owner of Bushman Equipment since 1989. Through the years, Bushman has established a reputation for the design and manufacture of rugged, heavy-duty overhead crane attachments, jib cranes and coil handling equipment. The company's major focus has been custom engineering products to meet the specific and unique requirements of our customers.
