Guthrie Healthcare System is a community health-care organization. The flagship facility (and corporate HQ) is the Robert Packer Hospital, established in 1885 to serve Lehigh Valley Railroad workers. Guthrie Health includes two major hospital facilities (each a tertiary-care teaching hospital), three nursing homes, a senior-care community, a home-care service, and several affiliated clinics and practices. Guthrie Health offers ambulance services, including an EMS helicopter called Guthrie One.
