About
Founded in 1938, the Emmanuel Gospel Center (EGC) is a Christian nonprofit serving urban leaders, churches and communities in Greater Boston and beyond. The mission of the Emmanuel Gospel Center is to strengthen Christian leaders to serve urban communities. Our strategy is best described as Learn, Connect, Equip: Learn: By taking the time to understand the city and they systems in which we operate Connect: By getting to know the people involved and facilitating strong working relationships, and by connecting the dots of stories and narratives to facilitate understanding. Equip: By providing teaching, training, tools and resources for effective ministry, and to help others learn and connect. Learn, Connect and Equip always work together and lead to Action. As we engage in this strategy, we believe that the impact will be: Leaders --> Churches --> Communities. Healthy and effective Leaders, lead to Healthy and effective Church and related systems, lead to Healthy and effective Communities and positive change in the world. EGC also plays an active role in facilitating leaders strengthening the church and in helping the church make a difference in their communities and the world. See more at http://egc.org/mission.
