Independent Dispatch was created in 1980 by Mike Gilbert and Stu Johnson to market intermodal and over-the-road services. We steadily grew that business over the years and then added a regional truck fleet to expand our service offerings. Today, IDI is an award winning multi-modal domestic freight forwarder with more than 80 employees and 28 company owned day-cab trucks.
