In the mid 1930's, there were two banks in Berlin. They merged to be only the First National Bank, It was to strengthen the assets and no one lost any money. Many of the State Bank employees transferred to the First National including Harry Kujawa. However after a short time, many of the former depositors gathered together to form a second bank, They went out and sold $50,000 of stock to many of the former depositors.
