This website is made possible by the LAFF (Libraries are Family Fun) federal grant which was awarded to the Lower Kuskokwim School District in the Spring of 2005. Our main goal is to increase student excitement and interest in reading through the use of our school libraries. We are doing this by providing selected school libraries in the LKSD with afterschool reading programs, new books, computers, software, and educational toys. We are also dedicated to the continued professional development and training of our school librarians in the hopes of creating a school environment where the school librarian can better collaborate, cooperate and work with the school faculty to enrich and support the school curriculum. The purpose of this website is to provide the teachers, librarians and students of LKSD with valuable resources both educational and recreational in nature. Please refer to our main page for helpful links and please free to provide feedback and suggestions on how this website could better serve its purpose for the LKSD school population.
