Bricolage’s mission is to advance educational equity by preparing students from diverse backgrounds to be innovators who change the world.
Today, Bricolage is a thriving elementary/middle school in great demand: there are five applications for each available kindergarten seat.
Bricolage’s student population is diverse in every way: by race, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, geography, and life circumstance. Our current student body hails from 16 of the city’s 18 zip codes. By the numbers: 49% are minorities, 51% are white; 43% are female, and 57% are male. Some of our students are the product of generational poverty, while others the product of generational affluence. Our students’ abilities are as diverse as their backgrounds, and to meet this challenge, our academic model is highly personalized: Bricolage teachers determine the individual learning needs, interests, and aspirations of each student and provide customized learning and socio-emotional experiences.
