Early on our founders knew that they would have to make a commitment to their employees in order to attract and keep good, honest, hard workers. By the time of this photo Marek Brothers Company provided employees transportation and equipment, hourly wages, unemployment insurance, paid vacations, and a Christmas bonus. In turn, these young, energetic men began life-long careers with us by installing drywall in areas of Houston like South Park, Oak Forest, and Memorial Drive. Those early experiences led many of them to develop improvements to our company and to our industry. Whether it was improvements to field construction techniques or cost accounting, everyone pulled together as a team to provide the best for our customers.
