About
SEKO Worldwide was founded in Chicago in 1976 as a domestic freight forwarder with one office. Through the years SEKO grew and built a great network and a solid reputation throughout North America. In 1997, SEKO Worldwide sold to USFreightways, which later re-branded the company USF Worldwide. USF grew the company’s international network and capabilities. In mid-2002, USFreightways decided to exit the freight forwarding industry and focus on its core trucking and logistics operations in the U.S. That led to the former CFO and two current SEKO Worldwide Station Owners purchasing the organization back from USFreightways and returning it to the status of a privately held organization. The company’s management team is comprised of people who have spent their careers in the transportation industry. They know that service sells and that, first and foremost, SEKO stands for service. Seasoned transportation and logistics professionals staff each SEKO Worldwide office, all of whom are Owners and Managers that are dedicated and committed to helping our customers reach their business goals. SEKO Worldwide’s new owners have one particular goal in mind: to once again make SEKO Worldwide an industry leader. Through SEKO’s nimble, flexible style of business and its customer service focus, it is quickly re-establishing itself as a service leader throughout the transportation industry.
