Our company founder, the late Edward W. Hazard Jr., understood the importance of quality design and production. After leaving the Navy in 1946, Ed decided to first enter the marine industry. Gaining years of experience in this highly specialized field, Ed founded Jamestown in 1973. Ed built the company from the ground up, in response to what he identified as an industry-wide need for a company that would be equipped to partner with owners and shipbuilders in order to deliver superior marine accommodation solutions, on time and on budget. In 1986, Ed’s son Richard assumed the role of company president. Richard took his father’s vision and not only made it a reality, he made it his own, by expanding the company’s offerings to include Electrical, HVAC & Pipe. From our earliest days, Jamestown has been a reliable, trustworthy resource to those outfitters and owners who sought joiner accommodations around the world. Our extensive experience has enabled us to not only become experts in joiner solutions, but also in additional areas such as Electrical, Piping and HVAC.
