About
About The Chattahoochee Valley Regional Library System was formed in 1952, with Muscogee, Marion and Chattahoochee counties as members. Stewart County joined in 1974 and Quitman County in 1975. The oldest of the member libraries dates to 1881. Vision Statement The library serves a community of four markedly different counties of informed and engaged citizens who support vital economic development while preserving the values of the past and enriching the quality of life for all. Mission Statement The library plays an essential role in the community as a trusted resource and center for civic engagement. The staff provides services that are accessible, convenient and responsive to community needs by using traditional formats and innovative technologies. Approved by the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries Board of Directors on July 16, 2009.
