Spotlight 29 is owned and operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians. Spotlight 29 Casino opened its doors in 1995 to the public under the right of National Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988; stating Native American Tribes have a right to operate Casinos. At that time, there was 100,000 square feet of space. In 2001, they teamed up with Donald Trump and Spotlight 29 Casino became Trump 29 Casino. In 2006, the casino returned back to Spotlight 29.
