Coram Beanstalk is a national reading charity that recruits, vets, trains and supports volunteers to work with children aged 3 to 13 years old who have fallen behind with their reading or are at risk of doing so. We also run training courses to enable others to offer vital one-to-one reading support.
Coram Beanstalk reading helpers work with children on a one-to-one basis, giving them their full attention and support to improve reading levels, increase their confidence and self-esteem and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
We have more than 3,000 volunteers, who support over 13,000 children a year, but there is still much more we can do. Our aim is to reach out to 20,000 children a year by 2020-2021.
