Wesley Mission Queensland is a leading not for profit organisation that has been supporting Queenslanders for over 100 years. Offering community support, aged care, child care and retirement living, the work of Wesley Mission Queensland reaches throughout Queensland encouraging social inclusion and strengthening communities. Since our inception in 1907 in the roots of the Albert Street Methodist Church, we have maintained our commitment to furthering social justice by improving the lives of those on the margins of society by assisting them to regain independence, dignity and self sufficiency. As the first provider of aged care in Queensland we have a long and proud history of providing high quality and innovative services. Our services are wide reaching and we work with people from right across the community including: the elderly, youth and families at-risk of homelessness, those living with a disability and people struggling with disadvantage who have nowhere else to turn. Thanks to a dedicated team of more than 2,400 staff, 1,500 volunteers, supporters and strong Federal and Queensland Government partnerships, we have a unique ability to grow services in response to ever changing needs within the community. We are known and respected by government, industry partners and the community for our ability to provide and initiate services and programs that remain committed to creating a compassionate, just and inclusive society for all. In 2016, Wesley Mission Brisbane changed its name to Wesley Mission Queensland. With more than 60 locations across South East Queensland, our name change better reflects our geographic reach and provides greater clarity for people connecting with our organisation.
