We are a software technology company comprised of a small team of entrepreneurs and software developers based in Seattle. We have built a solution to help FedEx Ground Independent Service Providers streamline their daily pickup and delivery operations. PackageRoute explained in 60 seconds: http://www.packageroute.com/#video The Need Every day FedEx Ground Independent Contractors (ICs), Service Providers (ISPs) and their drivers deliver and pickup packages to / from businesses and homes. For any number of reasons, they have remained under-served with utilizing current mobile computing technology. For all the ICs and ISPs, it is a constant daily challenge to conveniently: • balance inbound deliveries so the load is distributed across all their delivery trucks • optimize their delivery route to save time and fuel • minimize overhead and expense due to exceptions (e.g. failed deliveries on first attempt) • track and monitor progress of routes from anywhere The main problem they face is a lack of convenient real-time access to P&D data for their routes which leads to inefficiently managed operations, overworked drivers and lower profits. Today, their best option is to use a hodge-podge of apps, laminated paper maps, memory and bravado, but of course, this is not-sustainable. With a daily average of package delivery and pickup volumes approaching 8M, the problem is only getting worse over time.
