The Lake Chelan School District is located in North Central Washington at the base of beautiful Lake Chelan. It serves many of the communities in the Chelan Valley with a local population of approximately 4000. Sheltered from western Washington’s typically heavy rainfall by the Cascade Mountains, the Chelan Valley has an ideal climate to support the
thriving tourism industry, vineyards and an abundance of apple orchards.
This K-12 school district serves approximately 1,400 students on four campuses including a remote and necessary K-12 school at Holden Village. In addition to a wide range of academic programs available to students, a variety of co-curricular programs are offered. The district is recognized for its outstanding WASL scores, After’s programs, College in the High School classes, and strategic planning.
These activities are well supported by the community as demonstrated by the active volunteer participation in our schools.
The district employs approximately 87 FTE
certificated staff and 50 FTE classified staff. The
district’s annual operating budget is approximately $14.5 million. The district serves a minority population of approximately 39 percent.
