When Ace Asphalt's New Construction Department is involved, Laser and Global Positioning Systems are standard on almost any project involving site work., Our laser guidance systems allow us to perform both simple and very difficult grading projects quickly and with pinpoint accuracy. The initial grading phase includes clearing and grubbing away any vegetation on the site, removing any surface improvements that will not be incorporated into the new design, and verifying the site topography to ensure the grades given on the plans (existing grades) are accurate., Next, we make sure that there is compliance with the soils engineer's recommendation regarding bearing characteristics of the site., This involves over-excavation of the footing bearing soils, importing low-swell materials if required, and grading the entire site to +/- 0.10', in most cases., Once the rough grading is complete, the site is as-built to make certain that our work is performed according to design. Ace Asphalt has worked on a wide variety of projects including hospitals, malls, office buildings, sports arenas, raceways, automotive dealerships, apartment complexes, etc. Our list of clientele ranges from small to large business owners, general contractors, developers, and government agencies.
