The Inver Grove Heights Fire Department proudly provides our community with quality, professional firefighting, emergency medical, and rescue service. Our highly-skilled staff now consists of a full-time Fire Chief, a full-time Fire Marshal, a part-time Secretary and fifty to sixty paid-on-call firefighters. Our firefighters come from all walks of life. We have carpenters and electricians, nurses and paramedics, managers, computer programmers, and the list goes on. Each firefighter brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the department. We pride ourselves on having a highly-trained department. Our newly-hired firefighters participate in a rigorous training program over their first two years of employment.
