Lighthouse is an interdisciplinary organisation for contemporary digital culture that connects new and evolving developments in art, film, technology,
and society. We support and produce new ideas, world-class commissions, film and moving image productions, exhibitions, education and talent development schemes. For over 30 years, our programme has revealed new ways of presenting artists and the creative industries, how artistic work and practice can cross boundaries and disciplines, and be used as a way of enhancing digital technology and its place within society. Key projects include Guiding Lights, the UK's leading mentoring scheme for filmmakers, regular residencies, to provide creative and professional development for a wide range of artists and creative practitioners, and Last Dance, a series of events, podcasts, films and blogs investigating the rapid changes affecting UK music and youth culture. In recent years, Lighthouse has produced, presented, and commissioned work by many internationally renowned and emerging artists and filmmakers, including Haroon Mirza, Peter Middleton & James Spinney, Lynette Wallworth, The Otolith Group, Kutlug Ataman, Matthew Herbert, Holly Herndon, Metahaven, David Blandy, Larry Achiampong, Trevor Paglen, Blast Theory, Invisible Flock, and Rafael Lozano Hemmer. As well as hosting Lighthouse's work in our centrally located Brighton premises, we also provide commercial room hire, welcoming a wide range of companies working within the creative industries and beyond. When you hire one of our spaces you are supporting our arts and education programmes. If you'd like to know more about what we do, or our venue in Brighton, get in touch.Lighthouse Address
