Grounds for Health works with coffee-growing communities to establish sustainable cervical cancer prevention programs.
Together with our coffee cooperative partners, we break down the barriers that stand between women and preventive care—such as lack of information, transportation and the social permission she needs so she can put herself first and seek care.
To make sure our programs are sustainable, we invest in the education and training of community health promoters, doctors and nurses. Our model uses technologies that are appropriate for low-resource settings, including the Single Visit Approach to detection and treatment of cervical pre-cancers.
