Mujeres Latinas en Acción empowers Latinas through providing services which reflect their values and culture and being an advocate on the issues that make a difference in their lives.
Mujeres is a bilingual/bicultural organization that seeks to empower Latinas and their families to become self-reliant, take full advantage of available opportunities, and create new opportunities to improve their lives.
Founded in 1973, Mujeres is the longest standing incorporated Latina organization in the nation. Mujeres is primarily administered by Latinas and works with Latinas and their families. Over the years Mujeres has developed a comprehensive array of social services and advocacy initiatives that promote non-violence and leadership development.
