International Development Institute (IDI) is a Washington, DC, USA based organization committed to providing capacity building and institutional strengthening programs primarily through short-term Courses, Training, Workshops, Study Tours, and Observation Visits. This services is provided to the officials from developing countries, NGOs and International Organizations to equip their personnel with adequate knowledge of processes to ensure that the capacity building and institutional strengthening is sustained. It is our intention to have staff of institutions from developing nations get a hands-on experience in countries where systems have been tried and tested and take back practical experience to implement in their own institutions. IDI therefore includes visits to actual sites and seminars with experts in their field as part of the training program. IDI has designed, developed and delivered training and capacity development programs in developing countries in the areas of Project Management (Appraisal, Supervision, Monitoring & Evaluation), Alternative Dispute Resolution, Legislative Drafting, Corporate Governance, Capital Markets Development, Bank Restructuring and Governance, Privatization and Post-Privatization, Trade/WTO/Trade Facilitation, Social Security/Pension Reform, Anti-Corruption and Good Governance.
