The UMC Utrecht Brain Center is an internationally recognised research center in clinical and experimental neuroscience. Research into the development and functioning of the central nervous system in health and disease plays a central role.\n\nWe focus on six different disease areas:\n- developmental disorders\n- epilepsy\n- neuromuscular disorders\n- neuro-oncology\n- personalized psychiatry\n- stroke\n\nAll disease areas aim to translate basic science and patient driven research questions into clinical diagnostic methods, prediction models, and novel treatments.
