Despite clear evidence of the harms of institutionalisation, an estimated 5.4 million children around the world continue to live in orphanages and other harmful institutions. Surprisingly 80% of them have a living parent or relative. Children in institutions are deprived of their basic rights and the chance to reach their full potential.\n \nLumos exists to light a path to a brighter future for these children.
