About
Since 1995, Hoffmann Hospice has been Kern County’s only locally founded non-profit hospice. As the most respected and well-established hospice, Hoffmann Hospice has had the privilege of serving over 20,000 adults, children and veterans who have a serious or terminal illness, regardless of their ability to pay. Our mission is to celebrate the sanctity of life, provide compassionate end-of-life care and comfort the grieving. Hoffmann Hospice serves Kern County communities including the outlying areas of Delano, Taft, Arvin, Frazier Park and Tehachapi. To this day, the agency is one that the community can continue to call its own- with no owners or shareholders- guided under the leadership of local Board of Directors members. Hoffmann Hospice became associated with Dignity Health September 30, 2014 and is now their preferred hospice provider in Kern County. The association of the two non-profit organizations represents an expansion of hospice services offered by Dignity Health. With the anticipated 2015 opening of the Hoffmann Home, Kern County’s first and only hospice home, and the expected 1,800 additional families served, Dignity Health and Hoffmann Hospice recognize that through aligning core services and operational strengths the end result is improved access to quality end of life care for Kern County residents. Both Dignity Health and Hoffmann Hospice are committed to compassionate, patient centered care for Kern County residents.
