The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) represents the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-accredited member schools and programs of public health.
ASPPH promotes the efforts of schools and programs of public health to improve the health of every person through education, research, and policy. Based upon the belief that “you’re only as healthy as the world you live in,†ASPPH works with stakeholders to develop solutions to the most pressing health concerns and provides access to the ongoing initiatives of the schools of public health.
Established in 2013, ASPPH serves as a national resource for members by:
•Improving the public's health by advancing professional and graduate education, research and service in public health;
•Developing partnerships with governmental, private, professional, corporate, and community agencies to strengthen education, research, and service in accredited schools and programs of public health;
•Collecting national data and identifying trends relevant to public health education;
•Facilitating cooperative initiatives among the schools and programs, such as the development of competencies for MPH graduates and creation of portable public health curricula;
•Promoting public health as a career option; and
•Encouraging and promoting the development of practice-based training opportunities for students and graduates.
