Becoming Independent — also known as BI — helps people with developmental disabilities live meaningful and productive lives. We are a nonprofit community benefit organization serving Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties with a purpose to elevate human abilities for the mutual benefit of our Community. Each year thousands of individuals walk through our doors and are welcomed with opportunities to be productive and engaged community members through three strategic initiatives: Innovative Education Elevating Independence Employing Abilities At BI, we believe our pioneering model has and always will break barriers for people with disabilities.
