About
About xBlgx brings synthetic biology and materials together to make diagnostics more sensitive and easier to develop and deploy. As a market proof point, we're developing non-invasive diagnostics that will enable you to determine your own, your communities' and your businesses' health status quickly, inexpensively and scalably. Simply detecting a few virus particles with our COVID-19 Antigen test makes it possible for everyone to achieve our collective goals: performance that's better than most laboratory diagnostics in every home and every business so that our lives and our economies can return to normal. Technology xBiologix's synthetic biology platform reduces background noise, increases binding capacity, and lowers the limit of detection enough to detect virus in samples at the onset of the disease, even if you do not show symptoms. Our device platform is as cost effective and scalable as lateral flow assays, like the pregnancy test. And like related synthetic biology routes, our technology is more effective, lower cost, more precise and more repeatable, meaning we can get to market just as fast as molecular strategies like PCR. Products xBiologix's first products are single use, non-invasive, low complexity, point of care COVID-19 Antigen diagnostics that detect ~10 active virus particles in a milliliter saliva sample, and produce a result in 15 minutes. We're also working on multiplexed tests for Flu-A, Flu-B and COVID-19, in triplicate-- a total of nine tests... if you have symptoms and you pass this test, you probably have a cold or allergies.
