Founded in 1936 in Bermuda by Wilfred Onions and Valmer Bouchard, the original Onions Bouchard, Architects, designed private residences from which developed its influential cottage style now so characteristic of the island. Tagged as the revival architect of Bermuda, Wil Onions gave all the charm and ambiance of the old Bermuda cottages to his designs, including chimneys moldings, push-out shutters, strengthening buttresses, Flemish gables, and limewashed roofs. In the 1950's, we expanded our growing reputation into the commercial sector when John Edgar McCulloch joined the company to complete the name of Onions, Bouchard and McCulloch. Recognizing the potential of the Caribbean islands, McCulloch was responsible for opening offices in the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, St. Maarten, Antigua, and St. Kitts. In addition, these offices also carried out projects in Turks and Caicos, Anguilla, Jamaica, Montserrat and the U.S.Virgin Islands. His inspiration was instrumental to our firm's influence on economic development throughout the Caribbean. In the mid 1990's and with a change of name to OBM, we began operations in Turks and Caicos Islands and opened marketing offices in London and Brussels, and later in Madrid. Today, taking advantage of our ability to think locally and act globally, our newly-created office in Miami is serving the needs of our clients in Spain, South and Central America and the United States.OBM INTERNATIONAL Address
