Serving the growing population of food insecure and isolated seniors in our communities is a vital mission that permeates throughout the TRIO Community Meals team. As the largest provider of senior nutrition meals, we are committed to reducing hunger and food insecurity among older adults supporting senior congregate dining programs and homebound meals in alignment with the Older American Act. Each day, our extraordinary team prepare great tasting meals that appeal to older adults using fresh ingredients, local purchasing and sustainability initiatives. With agency and community partners, we enhance the health and well-being of older adults by providing healthy meals, nutrition education, and greater social engagement for our congregate dining sites. Serving older adults unable to travel to congregate dining centers, TRIO’s home-delivered meal program provides necessary nutrition and touchpoint for these seniors. We believe in creating positive experiences through food and personal interactions and have a dedicated team of trained drivers who greet each senior with a warm smile and friendly face. TRIO Community Meals supports the unique mission of each senior nutrition program by working with partners to customize programs that optimize menu development, meal production, and logistics.
