HAPO Community Credit Union was founded in 1953, as a credit union for the non-exempt employees of the Hanford Nuclear Project. HAPO is an acronym for Hanford Atomic Products Operations. HAPO has since converted it's charter from a federal credit union to a state chartered credit union, thereby changing our name to HAPO Community Credit Union.
