JumpStart is a Non Profit in operation since 2010 transforming underperforming classrooms into centers of mathematical competence. We couple sound pedagogical content and methodology, real-time M&E, blended learning, concerted mentoring, and teacher support in the classroom into a solid model for learner improvement. We utilise paper and digital solutions, employ previously unemployed young adults and mathematics tutors and work closely with teacher and the department of education. With over R30m in grants since inception we've been privileged to work with industry subject matter experts, conscientious social impact organisations and private individuals who have supported our work as well as mentored and challenged us along the way. We've have seen significant improvements in foundational mathematics and we are constantly seeking to scale what works and to explore models to contribute to the educational opportunities for our learners. We firmly believe every single child has the potential and that they should not be denied opportunity. In a word, we seek to give them a \JumpStart\. JumpStart is currently working with 20,000 learners, 46 Governments schools and employs over 100 tutors.
