The Renaissance Youth Center is a South Bronx-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to build under-served youth into role model citizens through performance-based programs in education, music, sports, and civic engagement. We currently reach 4,000 youth per year (3,000 every week) through music classes in over 30 schools, afterschool programs at five sites, and a variety of dynamic programs at our 3-story center.
Our programs work with students holistically, teaching them skills in the arts, athletics, and academics, while delivering social development and life skills training as part of each program.
Renaissance and its programs have been honored by the Bronx Borough President, the New York Police Department, the New York Yankees, and New York City Council, and we have performed at venues such as Yankee Stadium, the Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center.
