The BIP Lab leverages behavioral insights to understand parent-decision-making and reduce social and economic inequality. Research shows that a variety of low-cost, light-touch behavioral supports can optimize the decisions that people make. The BIP Lab works to identify key behavioral leverage points to support parent decision-making in ways that will help children achieve their full potential. The Lab designs and tests new approaches to supporting effective parent investment and engagement in children's development with the neediest families in mind. The Lab was co-founded in 2014 by Professors Ariel Kalil, Ph.D. and Susan E. Mayer, Ph.D.
